Very early arrival at Istanbul airport with a slight feeling of chaos at the border.

Crazy crowd at the border….

After settling and resting in our Airbnb we decide to immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of the capital.

First exploration of the city in the rain.

Visit to Topkapi Palace.
Istanbul is a very beautiful and popular city. Here near the great mosques.

Originally founded as a cathedral has been turned back into a mosque.

And of course we couldn’t leave without buying an authentic Turkish rug!
The Basilica Cistern.
World-famed as the largest of several hundred ancient city cisterns, this 6th century cistern lies beneath Istanbul’s Hagia Sophia.

After wandering for five days in the streets of Istanbul, we decide to rent a car to discover the Asian part of Turkey.
